• Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (1992)
• Masters Degree in School Administration from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE (1999)
• Spent 12 years in public education (8 years as a teacher, 4 years as a high school principal, and all 12 years as a coach)
• Twice named Whose Who Among America's Teachers
• Member of the Nebraska State Steering Committee on Character Education for five years
• Speaks to schools (middle and high school), colleges, businesses and organizations about ways to lead a significant life, the importance of character and leadership
• Currently lives in Kearney, Nebraska with his wife and two children
